Alliance awards Support researchers

Throung the Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology Foundation, the Alliance Foundation Special Projects Allocation provides funding support for work that accelerates progress toward Alliance Scientific Strategic Goals.

• Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology Foundation Special Projects Allocation
  This award focuses on addressing high-priority research areas defined during the Alliance 2023 Scientific Strategic Retreat

The Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology Foundation supports Alliance researchers and their work through three annual awards:

• Richard L. Schilsky CALGB Achievement Award
  This award identifies and honors "unsung heroes" of the Alliance.
• Daniel J. Sargent, PhD Memorial Fellowship in Innovative Clinical Trial Design and Methods
  This award supports biostatistics faculty working closely with the Alliance and Alliance SDC research agenda.
• Alliance Scholar Award
  This award supports oncology junior faculty working at Alliance institutions.

The Moertel Lecture Endowment Fund also supports Alliance researchers and their work through an annual award:

• Charles G. Moertel Lectureship Award
  This award honors an investigator whose work impacts community cancer practices.

The Alliance NCORP Research Base, which is supported by the NCI Division of Cancer Prevention (DCP), supports Alliance researchers and junior investigators and their work through two annual funding awards:

• Alliance Cancer Control Program Pilot Project Award Specific to Eliminating Inequities and Delivering Optimal Care
  This award supports pilot projects in the Alliance Cancer Control Program.
• Alliance Cancer Control Program Junior Faculty Award
  This award supports training and research initiatives for junior faculty and post-doctoral fellows in the Alliance.

The Alliance NCORP Research Base Cancer Care Delivery Research (CCDR) grant, which is supported by the NCI Division of Cancer Control and Population Sciences (DCCPS), supports Alliance researchers and their work through an annual funding award.

• Alliance Cancer Care Delivery Research Pilot Project Award
  This award supports pilot projects in the Alliance/American College of Surgeons Clinical Research Program.

The Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology supports clinical research professionals through an annual travel award.

• Alliance Research Integrity Service Excellence Award (RISE)
  This award honors clinical research professionals who exemplify excellence, integrity, teamwork, and leadership.
