CTEP-IAM Registration

The Alliance membership structure is composed of institutional members with investigators and non-investigators on the member institution’s roster. All persons on NCTN rosters must register with CTEP-IAM annual. The CTEP-IAM status will change to suspended and then inactive if the annual re-registration is not performed. When the CTEP-IAM account is suspended, the person is automatically removed from all NCTN rosters. 

As a Committee Member Only Why Should I Register with CTEP-IAM?

The Alliance database is populated from data downloads from CTEP-IAM/CTSU RSS.  Registration with the CTEP-IAM Registration System and inclusion on an Alliance member institution roster will allow:

  • Ability to credit the Alliance for enrollments
  • Access to the Alliance member website and data management tools
  • E-mail updates on Alliance activities
  • Access to Alliance committee members to committee Wiki pages
  • Inclusion on committee correspondence, if a member of a committee
  • Inclusion in online Directory (member website)
  • Inclusion in committee roster(s) in Group meeting publication
  • Allows the Alliance to accurately maintain the committee rosters

Change of Contact Information

The Alliance receives persons’ contact information from CTEP IAM.  If you have a change in email address, phone, address, etc you will need to log into CTEP IAM, click “personal information” found in column on the left, update information, and click “submit changes.”

NCI Registration and Credential Repository (RCR)

The RCR is an on-line registration system designed to improve regulatory compliance during the conduct of NCI-supported studies.  The goals of the systems are to:

  • Provide online person registration capabilities
  • Provide multi-level quality control checks and electronic validation for investigator qualifications
  • Improve functionality of current registration system to allow non-physicians to act as the site-study Principal Investigator (PI) or enrolling PIs for appropriate studies
  • Improve documentation of Human Subject Protection (HSP) and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) training requirements
  • Improve compliance with federal regulations

NCI Required Trainings: Human Subjects Protection and Good Clinical Practice

Human Subjects Protection (HSP) Training

All Investigators (IVRs), Non-Physician Investigators (NPIVRs), Associate Plus (APs) are required to obtain Human Subject Protection Training to be in compliance with the NIH.  For more information, please visit the following websites:

  • Training Provider
  • Course Title
  • Completion Date
  • Expiration Date (if set by course provider)
  • Certificate must be upload

Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Training

All Investigators (IVRs), Non-Physician Investigators (NPIVRs), Associate Plus (APs) are required to obtain Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Training to be in compliance with the NIH.  For more information, please visit the following website:

        The following GCP information must be provided via RCR:

  • Training Provider
  • Course Title
  • Completion Date
  • Expiration Date (expiration date equals either (1) expiration date set by course provider OR (2) three years from course completion date, whichever occurs first)
  • Certificate must be upload

Broadcast E-mail

To receive Alliance broadcast e-mails, the Lead CRP or Secondary Lead CRP must set the Alliance Broadcast Flag attribute in RUMS to “yes” on the person record. If you are not receiving broadcast emails, please consider the following:

  • Broadcast flag is set to “no” 
  • Broadcast e-mail was sent to junk mail
  • You have unsubscribed from Constant Contact (Alliance broadcast e-mail provider)
  • Your institutional IT Department has blocked e-mails from Constant Contact.
    To resolve: contact your IT/IS department to troubleshoot the issue further from within your institution and provide the following information:
    - copy the following URLs and add them to the whitelist:

- add these IP addresses to the whitelist:
          208.75.120.0/22 (which is the same as 208.75.120.*, 208.75.121.*, 208.75.122.*, and 208.75.123.*)
