Honoring Leadership and Celebrating New Horizons
The Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology thrives on the dedication, vision, and expertise of its leadership team. We express our deep gratitude to the outgoing committee chairs whose years of tireless service have fundamentally shaped our research portfolio, advanced clinical trials, and mentored the next generation of investigators while profoundly impacting the lives of patients with cancer.
At the same time, we are thrilled to welcome a distinguished group of newly appointed co-chairs, vice chairs, and executive officers. Their collective expertise ensures that the Alliance will continue to lead the way in innovative cancer research and exceptional patient care.
Special Recognitions
Chair, Alliance Lymphoma Committee: John P. Leonard, MD, Chief, Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology; Director, Center for Blood Cancers at NYU Langone Health
- Served as Committee Chair since 2013 creating a portfolio of practice changing trials
- Fostered the careers of many young investigators
- Built strong collaborations with the other NCI NCTN lymphoma committees.
Chair, Alliance Cancer in the Older Adult Committee: Aminah Jatoi, MD, Professor of Oncology at the Mayo Clinic
- Served as Committee Chair since 2017
- Led the development of trials focused on older adults, including data analyses to show treatment effects in this population and incorporation of the geriatric assessment in Alliance trials
- Helped establish Alliance as a leader in the geriatric oncology space
- Successfully mentored numerous junior investigators
Special Recognition: Chair, Alliance Cancer Care Delivery Research: George J. Chang, MD, Associate Vice President, Clinical Growth and Site Integration, Endowed Distinguished Chair Sue and Radcliff Killam Chair at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center LAPS

- Played a pivotal role in establishing Cancer Care Delivery Research within the Alliance
