TWO INVESTIGATORS RECEIVE FUNDING AWARDS THROUGH
ALLIANCE CANCER CARE DELIVERY RESEARCH COMMITTEE

Two Alliance investigators have been selected to receive funding awards through the Alliance Cancer Care Delivery Research Committee. The Alliance NCORP Research Base Cancer Care Delivery Research (CCDR) grant, which is supported by the NCI Division of Cancer Control and Population Sciences (DCCPS), supports Alliance researchers and their work through an Alliance CCDR Pilot Project Award. All applications are scored using the National Institutes of Health (NIH) grant application scoring system, and those applications with the lowest score are considered for funding. This year, two projects have been selected to receive the Alliance CCDR Pilot Project Award.

Recipients of the 2017 Alliance CCDR Pilot Project Award include:

Gabriel Brooks, MD, MPH
Dartmouth-Hitchcock Norris Cotton Cancer Center
"Cancer Care Delivery Processes at Community Oncology
Practices and Their Association with Acute Hospital and
Emergency Department Utilization: A Pilot Study"

Duke Cancer Institute
"Developing and Testing a Web-based Tool to Engage
